AGROMETEOROLOGY IN THE SERVICE TO THE USERS "Protect forests, our natural treasure, against fire!"
In the Mediterranean Sea as well as in the Adriatic Sea, forest fires take alarming proportions and are almost the main component of the summer period. System implementation of preventive measures to protect forests against fire is interdisciplinary and requires a high level of expertise and the application of all previous knowledge. However, this knowledge cannot remain in narrow scientific and professional circles, therefore it is necessary to reach out to the public, especially young people who are more inclined to accept new ideas, implement them, and are bearers of our future.

AGROMETEOROLOGY IN THE SERVICE TO THE USERS "Protecting our forests against fire"
Encouraged by the support of local and regional communities in the Dubrovnik area that we had in organizing last two workshops for farmers, agronomists, foresters and firefighters in March 2014, we proposed to organise agrometeorological seminars entitled "Protecting our forests against fire" in Dubrovnik during 2015 and early 2016 in the framework of our program Agrometeorology in the service to the users.
